The Impact
Eight workshops have already been delivered, welcoming more than 1,000 participants. Each event convenes standards experts, EDIHs, National Cybersecurity Centres, SME associations, local businesses, and DIGITAL projects developing compliance tools, creating a shared space where practical knowledge meets real business needs.
The challenge
The CRA introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements placed on the EU market. For SMEs the challenge is how to comply, which standards to follow, and which tools, guidance, and funding opportunities are available to them.
How could different DIGITAL projects collaborate to respond to this challenge?
The solution
The multi-stakeholder workshops have delivered interactive sessions with experts developing the CRA standards, pitch and demo sessions showcasing project compliance tools and opportunities to hear from local stakeholders supporting the implementation of the CRA. By working together, the projects have been able to reach a much broader set of stakeholders and event deliver content in local languages.
“The workshop series has not only helped focus alignment and common messaging between the projects focussing on the CRA but it has also provided a pathway for projects to engage with SMEs in different countries who can adopt and use the compliance tools and services they provide."
...and Why it matters
DEDEP.eu supported the establishment and running of a dissemination working group bringing together the projects of the cluster. Thanks to this coordination, a dedicated compliance tool session was delivered at every workshop, evolving alongside the projects’ own timelines, from initial presentations of tool concepts to full demonstrations.
The workshops have offered the participating projects a valuable platform to advance their dissemination goals and extend their reach into regional and national networks. Looking ahead, planned activities include mapping the tools to the CRA standards, further strengthening their impact.
EU-funded projects participating in the workshops: CRA-AI, OCCTET, CRACY, OSCRAT, CURIUM, CONFIRMATE, CRACoWi, CYBERFORT, DETANGLE, SECURE, NERO, TRUSTBOOST, CUSTODES and Stan4CR.
