This specific objective focuses on deploying and best using digital capacities across the economy and public sector. It seeks to ensure the interoperability of systems and solutions used to provide or manage public services in the EU, and facilitate the development, update and use of solutions and frameworks by public administrations, businesses and citizens, including of open-source solutions and the re-use of interoperability solutions and frameworks. This strands of the DIGITAL programme support cooperation towards achieving a European ecosystem for trusted data sharing and digital infrastructures using, inter alia, services and applications based on distributed ledger technologies (e.g. see funded actions, such as, SEEBLOCKS.eu and BlockStand). Finally, SO5 hosts the management of the most funded actions under the DIGITAL programme, i.e., the European Digital Innovation Hubs. This work strand builds up and strengthens the EDIHs and their network. 155 actions of this kind are currently funded out of a total 492 DIGITAL projects.
