The Impact
GreenChips-EDU helps close Europe's semiconductor skills gap by equipping students and professionals with future-oriented microelectronics skills.
The challenge
GreenChips-EDU has generated a portfolio of educational content, programmes and industry-academia formats across a multi-country consortium. However, direct transfer of these results beyond the consortium is challenging due to IPR ownership, different institutional contexts and the effort required to adapt materials.
The key challenge is therefore to turn project experience into exploitable, transferable results that other institutions and organisations can realistically adopt.
The solution
The project is structuring its results into three Key Exploitable Results: a Microelectronics Education Catalogue, an Industry-Academia Engagement Framework, and Replication Adoption Guidelines. Together, these combine tangible educational results with practical guidance, best practices and
implementation approaches that enable other institutions to adapt and reproduce GreenChips-EDU approaches in their own context.
Our goal is not simply to develop innovative educational content,
but to make the knowledge and experience behind it transferable beyond our consortium...
...and Why it matters
The DEDEP pilot helped us shift our perspective from “what we developed” to “who can actually use and adopt our results?”. Through the Characterisation Table and Exploitation Roadmap, we identified three KERs, clarified users, adopters and beneficiaries, and started defining concrete exploitation pathways. The coaching sessions also helped us address transferability, IPR and adaptation challenges and focus on a small number of strong, exploitable results.
