Through a combination of technology services, training activities and ecosystem support, DIGITALIS helped manufacturing SMEs build digital capabilities and accelerate innovation.
The challenge
Reaching manufacturing SMEs with different levels of digital maturity was a key dissemination challenge.
Many were unaware of European Digital Innovation Hubs and struggled to understand the concrete value of digital technologies for their business. Communicating complex services in a simple and attractive way was also a major barrier.
DIGITALIS responded by combining small interactive events, direct engagement and video testimonials, successfully reaching over 200 companies.
The solution
DIGITALIS adopted a personalised approach to support manufacturing SMEs in their digital transformation. By focusing on companies’ immediate needs and building trust, the hub helped SMEs with different levels of digital maturity, to take their first steps towards digitalisation.
By combining technology testing, training, funding guidance and networking activities, DIGITALIS made digital transformation more accessible and helped SMEs improve their competitiveness.
