The challenge

Many cultural heritage institutions have limited experience with 3D and Extended Reality technologies and often lack the skills or resources to create immersive digital experiences.

Demonstrating the practical value of XR and engaging professionals beyond individual training activities were key dissemination challenges.

EUreka3D-XR addressed these challenges by combining practical training, knowledge-sharing resources and partner networks, creating a growing community of cultural heritage professionals.

The solution

EUreka3D-XR built on the experience of the previous EUreka3D project to help cultural heriatge professionals adopt Extended Reality technologies. Through practical training, shared learning resources and best practices guidelines, the project supported insitutions in creating accessible and reusable XR experiences.

The project also developed a strong knowledge-sharing community by providing newsletters, recorded training materials and a shared repository of resources. Working closely with project partners and professional networks helped expand the project's reach and encourage long-term engagement across the cultural heritage sector.

Our work is focused on concrete outcomes, addressed to empowering cultural heritage professionals in digital transformation of the sector, and supporting the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage for the benefit of all.
