The Impact
Through joint training, knowledge exchange and policy collaboration, the project helps build a coordinated European approach to cyber threats while supporting long-term cooperation between key cybersecurity stakeholders.
The challenge
Engaging stakeholders from both the civilian and defence sectors required maintaining long-term participation beyond initial contact. While visibility was high, turning awareness into sustained engagement across diverse communities remained a key dissemination challenge.
To address this, ECYBRIDGE strengthened stakeholder engagement through targeted communication, trusted partner networks and tailored outreach.
ECYBRIDGE combined multi-channel dissemination engaging nearly 2,000 stakeholders and building a growing cybersecurity community across Europe.
The solution
ECYBRIDGE started its dissemination activities with a clear communication plan shared across the consortium. Using simple and consistent messages, together with a strong visual identity, helped the project build trust and keep stakeholders engaged.
The project used different channels, including its website, LinkedIn, events, workshops and training sessions, to reach both civilian and defence communities. By working with partners and involving key stakeholders, ECYBRIDGE increased participation and built a stronger cybersecurity community.
The project’s final event was also featured on national Romanian television, highlighting its growing visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Through ECYBRIDGE we have learned that strategic communication can unite sectors, influence policy, and inspire lasting cooperation in European Union cybersecurity. Together, we are building the European Cybersecurity Union.
...and Why it matters
ECYBRIDGE became a DEDEP.eu Inspiring Story thanks to its strong communication approach and its ability to engage different stakeholder communities. The project showed that clear messages, consistent communication and strong partner involvement are key to building trust and encouraging participation across complex ecosystems.
The project not only strengthened collaboration between civilian and defence cybersecurity communities, but also contributed to a more coordinated, resilient and secure European cybersecurity ecosystem.
